Ramesh Chandra Jena, a visionary leader, is the CEO & Partner of MART Global Management Solutions LLP and Co-founder of MART Academy. Project management, consulting and strategy formulation are his core areas. Aiming to sharpen his entrepreneurial perspective and leadership acumen, Ramesh joined EDII’s 1st batch PGDBEM course.
MART Global Management Solutions LLP (Known as MART) is a leading consultancy firm providing comprehensive solutions to both development and corporate sectors. Under his leadership, MART Global Management Solutions LLP, a for-profit entity engages with clients on a service-delivery model, generating funds through professional consulting and implementation services. MART has developed dedicated verticals to pursue select sectors. This provides them strategic depth to generate knowledge and skills, unique to each sector. The company’s work has impacted over 2 million lives and generated employment for more than five lakh individuals, contributing significantly to inclusive economic growth. Today, Ramesh’s company notches a turnover of more than Rs. 30 Crores.
Another important venture of Ramesh is MART Academy, a non-profit entity, mobilizing grants from various development partners and donors to implement community-centric and livelihood enhancement projects across India. Together, MART Global Management Solutions LLP and MART Academy represent a model where enterprise and empathy converge to deliver sustainable change.
Ramesh currently manages a team of over 200 professionals across diverse thematic and geographic areas, ensuring quality delivery, innovation and measurable impact in every initiative. He has been instrumental in leading large-scale programmes for government agencies, corporates, bilateral & multilateral organizations and CSR foundations, driving transformative change among disadvantaged communities.
A seasoned trainer and capacity-building expert, he has been a guest speaker at premier business schools and national forums. He has been providing consulting support to World Bank, International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Asian Development Bank (ADB), United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Department for International Development (DFID) and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), alongside leading corporates and many state and central government programmes. Ramesh’s engagement with multiple International assignments in Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and UK have also generated tangible outcomes. He opines, “As an EDII alumnus, I believe entrepreneurship is not just about starting ventures — it’s about driving change. Institutes like EDII have been the cornerstone in shaping India’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and empowering individuals to transform ideas into inclusive growth.”
