Parth grew up receiving praise for his tactical approach. After graduating from the School of Liberal Studies at Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University with a specialization in Business Administration, a compliment from a cultural committee member ignited his entrepreneurial aspirations. This boosted Parth’s confidence, and he dreamed of starting his own business. Right after college, he initiated a trading venture but, it unfortunately failed. Determined, he tried again but faced another setback.

Discouraged but not defeated, Parth was encouraged by a friend to persevere. Driven by passion and motivation, he decided to equip himself with relevant knowledge. He enrolled in EDII’s Post Graduate Diploma in Management – Business Entrepreneurship (PGDM-BE). Parth’s commitment to entrepreneurship was evident. He had even tutored 100 students in Entrepreneurship Leadership, managed by Infosys. After joining the course, he realized that the world of business was vast and full of ups and down. He understood that unless mastered, it was difficult to move ahead.

Parth identified the food and beverages business as his target through an opportunity-mapping exercise. He worked on a food truck project under the mentorship of EDII faculty; and he realized he could turn his passion for cooking into a viable business. Parth’s primary goal was to create a unique identity to his venture, aiming to offer exclusive products at competitive rates. He dedicated his time at EDII to refining his business model and plans, immersing himself in learning and practical application.

Parth’s journey into the food industry began with extensive travel across the country, exploring new trends and innovative ideas. While theme-based restaurants with catchy decor and live music were popular, his financial constraints ruled out such an option. Instead, he chose a fruit truck, offering exotic fruits as a unique and creative way to capture attention, especially among the youth.

Despite his father’s initial skepticism, Parth launched India’s first fruit truck “9834 The Fruit Truck” on June 28, 2016, with an investment of ₹ 25 lakh, which he borrowed from his father.  His signature drink – the jamun shots, quickly gained popularity. The Fruit Truck’s also serves exotic fruit platters, cold-pressed and blended juices, vegan smoothies, fresh fruit shakes, and fruit desserts.

Despite Parth’s truck gaining popularity, its success faltered when competitors offered similar products at lower prices. Storing fruits and vegetables was a big concern for Parth. He addressed this concern strategically, leading to very little wastage. Parth considers the storage facility his biggest strength and says that several vendors could not sustain that because of gaps in this department. This focus on operational efficiency and a unique product offering allowed Parth to not only survive but to flourish in the competitive food truck market.
