Nilesh, hailing from Nashik, grew up seeing his father’s journey from supplying brick to construction sites to entering full-fledged real estate business. Inspired by his father’s entrepreneurial journey, Nilesh aspired to elevate the family business, Sonaje Infrastructure. The ambition led him to pursue Civil Engineering, where he stayed updated on industry trends, frequently discussing construction business strategies with his father.

Nilesh aimed to hone essential entrepreneurial skills before taking the plunge into business. He learned about EDII, the premier National Resource Institute for entrepreneurship education. Nilesh successfully cleared the exams and got a seat in the Post Graduate Diploma in Management-Business Entrepreneurship at EDII, specializing in Family Business Management. 

At EDII, Nilesh thrived in the environment of regular classes, brainstorming sessions, discussions with entrepreneurs and field visits. He developed a comprehensive five-year growth plan for his business, which family business experts validated.  Nilesh immediately went into the field and involved in every department of the enterprise. His business analysis at EDII became the foundation for his success.

Today, Sonaje Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. is involved in constructing roads, drainage systems, airport runways, and residential & commercial complexes. The group also diversified its portfolio and owned a centrally located hotel in Nashik.  Nilesh recognizes the crucial role of networking in business. He is a member of Rotary Club and several industry associations, which have provided valuable connections with business people. As chairman of The National Association of Realtors India, Nilesh had the opportunity to network with realtors across India, successfully initiated and completed several projects.
