Gaurav comes from a business family and has always had business on his mind. He joined the PGDBEM programme at EDII, for learning the finer nuances of business. Gaurav says, “EDII, Gaurav is an entrepreneurial ecosystem in itself. This place gave me every opportunity to evolve as a business person. It nurtured his ambition to become an entrepreneur. Entrepreneurial training, exposure to real-world business challenges and continuous mentorship ignited my confidence to think about business from an entirely new viewpoint.”
After completing the Post-Graduation at EDII, Gaurav joined his family business with a five-year growth plan in perspective. He holds the mantle of Joint MD at the RIMTEX Group of companies, which manufactures and exports textile machinery and components. Gaurav leads International Business and Business Development of the six group companies. These companies operate across diverse segments, including textile machinery & components, as well as Kalpar Castors, which are used by the entire cross-section of industries for mobility needs. The group has also ventured into Industrial Electric Vehicles (EV) and Industrial software-related specialized solutions.
Under Gaurav’s leadership, the group is expanding its global footprints. The group’s network spans across 57 countries and is among the world’s largest manufacturers of spinning cans.
Beyond business, Gaurav has contributed immensely to the entrepreneurial community. He with other members founded EDII Alumni Association in 2007 and served as its Founding Trustee and President. He successfully built a legacy that continues today with over 800 life members, supporting each other as well as developmental activities. Recognizing Gaurav’s contributions, the Institute honoured him with the Alumni Achiever Award in 2017.
Gaurav is a member of the prestigious Global Entrepreneurs’ Organisation (EO) for last 14 years. He served as President of EO Gujarat Chapter in 2015-16 and was also honoured with the President Award . During his tenure, the EO Gujarat Chapter was recognized as the Best Performer in the South Asian region. Gaurav is on the Boards of several business associations and organizations, today.
Looking ahead, Gaurav aims to continue driving innovation, expanding global markets and nurturing future leaders. His journey reflects how a strong entrepreneurial vision and proper guidance can lead to sustainable and long-term impact.
