The IPFC, established with sponsorship support of the Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India, under the MSME Innovative Scheme, will actively work towards empowering MSMEs and startups by enabling them to harness Intellectual Property (IP) tools with utmost efficacy.
Enhance awareness about the significance of Intellectual Property rights (IPR) among entrepreneurs, innovators, startups and other stakeholders in protecting and managing their intellectual property assets.
Empower businesses and individuals to navigate the complexities of Intellectual Property (IP) laws, protection, and commercialization.
Increase understanding of IP rights among MSMEs to encourage innovation and creativity.
Support MSMEs through reimbursement of expenses for IP registration and protection.
Provide end-to-end support for IP filings, including domestic patents, international patents, trademarks, designs and
geographical indications.
Focus on assisting startups, small, and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in developing and managing their IP portfolios
Establish strong linkages with IP organizations to provide comprehensive IP services to MSMEs.
Establish a dedicated IP Facilitation Centre to support IP-related activities for MSMEs. Offer support for drafting, filing, and prosecuting Domestic Patents, Foreign Patent, Trademarks, Designs and Geographical Indication.
Collaborate with IP attorneys and IP Agencies for the end-to-end IP support and activities to strengthen the overall IP ecosystem.
Provide financial assistance to the MSME for IP filing and prosecution. Organize networking events where businesses can meet potential investors, researchers, and IP professionals to discuss opportunities for IP commercialization and collaboration.
