Biography

Dr. Nithin K. N. has more than seven years of teaching, research, and field-level experience. Before joining EDII, he was associated with SVKM’s NMIMS, Shirpur, Maharashtra, for nearly six years, and Kerala Agricultural University, Thrissur, Kerala for one and a half years, where he contributed significantly to agribusiness education and research. He holds a Ph.D. and MBA in Agribusiness Management—both awarded with University Gold Medals—and has qualified ICAR-NET in Agribusiness Management and UGC-NET in Management. He is also a recipient of the prestigious ICAR Senior Research Fellowship (2014–2017). His research expertise spans agricultural marketing, the natural rubber economy, value chains, rural entrepreneurship, climate resilience, and agribusiness innovations. Dr. Nithin has an extensive publication record, including 14 research articles in Scopus, Web of Science–indexed, UGC-CARE, and peer-reviewed journals; 16 popular articles/short communications; 5 book chapters; and two authored books. He has also participated in numerous FDPs, national trainings, conferences, and executive programs, strengthening his competencies in value chain development, leadership, agritech, project management, and startup support.
