EDII approached Education in Entrepreneurship as a multidimensional task to ensure that an amiable ecosystem is developed in which entrepreneurship gets established and accepted as a natural career choice for students. The Institute targeted students, faculty group of HEIs, curriculum development, incubation and innovations on college campuses.
• Developed curriculum on Entrepreneurship for CBSE schools and for University Grants Commission and text books for Gujarat Textbooks Board and Central Board of Secondary Education, for 11th & 12th Std. |
• Launched the first ever Open Learning Programme in Entrepreneurship so that potential entrepreneurs who did not have time to attend regular classes, could learn the technicalities of setting up business, at their own pace, place and time. |
• Launched the first ever Post Graduate Programme in Entrepreneurship, under the nomenclature of Post Graduate Diploma in Management – Entrepreneurship. Today, the unique, application-oriented programme has grown exponentially with a success rate of 78 percent in terms of students setting up their own commercial or social enterprise or joining their family business. Following this, was another full-time AICTE approved programme in keeping with the country’s emphasis on startups, entrepreneurship and innovations: the Post Graduate Diploma in Management – Innovation, Enterprise and Venture Development. |
• Launched 4-year, AICTE approved Fellow Programme in Entrepreneurship (Doctoral Level) to create strengthen research and intellectual capital in Entrepreneurship by creating scholars and academics. |
• Engaged actively with Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and regulatory bodies to create a holistic ecosystem for entrepreneurship to establish entrepreneurship as a natural career option. |
• Curated Faculty Development Programmes for universities and colleges across the country to create cohorts of faculty members adept in designing and implementing entrepreneurship development programmes in their colleges/universities, as well as counselling students for an entrepreneurial career. |
