Post Graduate Diploma in Management- Entrepreneurship (PGDM-E)
The course, launched in 1998, encompasses the entire New Enterprise Creation process from idea generation to preparation of a detailed bankable project report. Students also learn to leverage the strengths of family business management and successfully implement practices that drive high performance. The programme also builds knowledge, skills and aptitude to become a successful social entrepreneur.

Specialization
New Enterprise Creation
The objective of this specialization is to prepare students in identifying, initiating, managing and growing a business enterprise. Students opting for this specialization are expected to develop a Project Feasibility and Viability Report (Detailed Project Report or DPR) on the business ideas identified by them for which an intense mentoring support will be provided.
Family Business Management
The objective of this specialization is to develop wards as enterprising, knowledgeable successors/ owners of their family businesses for competitive and sustainable growth. Established principles and practices of managing and growing family businesses are dealt in-depth. Students opting for this specialization are expected to develop a Five Years Perspective Plan or FYPP of their respective family firms for which an intense mentoring support will be provided.
Social Entrepreneurship
The objective of this specialization is to provide students with a new orientation and way of thinking to organise and lead sustainable development through social innovation and entrepreneurship. The course aims at developing entrepreneurial skills and thinking frames for students who will lead sustainable economic, social and environmental projects in their future professions. Students opting for this specialization are expected to develop a Detailed Project Report or DPR on their chosen Course of Independent Studies.

EDII offers fellowship support to students on the basis of need-cum-merit basis.
Project Start-up Facilitation Grant: EDII extends limited financial assistance to enable students to initiate/start own ventures that are assessed as viable and feasible by the fellowship committee. Preference is given to women students and potential first-generation entrepreneurs.
- Candidates can apply online.
- Three-year (10+2+3) University Degree in any discipline or a four year (10+2+4) Engineering/Technology/Medicine/Others, recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC)/ Association of Indian Universities (AIU) / AICTE with not less than 50% overall aggregate marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to the reserved category, as per norms) in qualifying degree examination. Final year graduating students can also apply.
- The candidates have to undergo any of the following tests – CAT, MAT, XAT, ATMA or CMAT.
Eligible candidates are called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
International student can be enrolled based on GMAT score.
Family Business Leadership Clinics
Family Business Clinics are planned to brainstorm and find solutions to hiccups that successors might face while taking over the reins of their family businesses. The learning focusses on understanding the values of highly successful multigenerational family business, tenets on continuity, succession & transition in family business (developing and integrating high-potential next-generation leaders in family businesses) and professionalisation of family business
New Enterprise Clinic
Start-up Clinic Weekend is a programme designed on international lines that comprises a series of activities/events that motivate, engage and train participants to help them develop entrepreneurial skills.
Centre for Advancing and Launching Enterprises (CrAdLE)
CrAdLE a 'Technology Business Incubator' (TBI), is catalysed by Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India and hosted by Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII). CrAdLE aims at developing sustainable and nurturing environment for technology-driven entrepreneurs.

The programme ensures that students prepare a bankable project report, set up their own ventures or join their family business with a 5-year growth plan.
- Depending on the viability and scalability of a venture, limited seed funding is also extended and networks established with venture capitalists, buyers and sellers.
- Students are also equipped to work in any sector for organisations ranging from startups to small and medium sized enterprises to multinational firms.
