Entrepreneurship Development Programmes

The Institute conducted five-day Entrepreneurship Development Programmes (EDP) for students from colleges/institutes across Gujarat. The programme focused on entrepreneurship sensitization, business idea generation, converting ideas into viable business plans and providing practical guidance on entrepreneurial ventures creation.

Nodal Officers’ Training programme

EDII conducted Nodal Officers’ Training programme which covered key aspects like entrepreneurial education, student sensitisation techniques towards entrepreneurship, psychometric assessments and establishment & development of Entrepreneurship Development Cells (EDCs), Identification and nurturing of entrepreneurial competencies & employability skills and Understanding the opportunity identification process.

Certificate Course on Entrepreneurship and Innovation

The Department of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of Tamil Nadu through EDII- Tamil Nadu and EDII, Ahmedabad jointly launched a One-year Certificate Programme on Entrepreneurship and Innovation. The course is designed to foster entrepreneurial traits, motivation and decision-making capabilities, while simultaneously equipping participants with the expertise needed to launch and manage new ventures, effectively.

It covers the areas of opportunity identification, market assessment, project report preparation, enterprise management and sources of assistance.  

Entrepreneurship Immersion Training Programme

Entrepreneurship Immersion Training Programme for Acharya Institute of Graduate Studies, Bengaluru, was held at EDII. The programme aimed to equip students with the necessary skills and mindset needed to pursue entrepreneurship as a career option. It provided hands-on exposure to real-world business scenarios, including market dynamics, business planning, financial management and risk assessment. Through interactive sessions, field visits and case studies of successful entrepreneurs, students gained practical insights into opportunity identification, business model development and customer acquisition strategies.

Incubation & Accelerator Managers’ Capacity Building Programme

EDII conducted Incubation & Accelerator Managers’ Capacity Building Programme under the sponsorship of the Education Department, Government of Gujarat and supported by iHub Gujarat, SSIP and India Accelerator. The programme focused on best incubation practices, startup mentoring, funding strategies, ecosystem building and operational management & policy frameworks through expert-led sessions, case studies and hands-on workshops.

Faculty members, incubation managers, Entrepreneurship Cell Coordinators and other stakeholders from Department of Technical Education, Govt. of Gujarat, Department of Higher Education, Govt. of Gujarat, SSIP Grantee Institutes & Universities participated in the programme.

InnovateEDU: Fostering Entrepreneurial Minds

‘InnovateEDU: Fostering Entrepreneurial Minds’ is a unique three-year programme, collaboration with institutions across India, aimed at building a strong inclination towards entrepreneurship education. The programme aligns with institutional objectives, faculty development and ensures career readiness among students.

EDII offers strategic insights to colleges and universities that align with National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) and National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) parameters, aiming to enhance institutional rankings and accreditation outcomes. The initiative will uniquely integrate the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 objectives of experiential learning, multidisciplinary education and inclusivity.

The programme has three core verticals: Value-added integrated entrepreneurship programmes for Faculty & Students, Entrepreneurship Course Work & Research and Workshops & Boot Camps.  In the foundational year, the programme focuses on core entrepreneurship principles while it emphasizes on social and technological entrepreneurship in the 2nd and 3rd years.
