Driving MSME Development… RAMP Micro Incubation Project

EDII undertakes extensive interventions to fulfil its mandate of strengthening MSMEs and promoting entrepreneurship for all-encompassing growth. Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of Gujarat, supported RAMP Micro-Incubation Project, implemented by EDII aims to equip entrepreneurs with knowledge, skills and institutional support required for sustainable enterprise growth.

During April and May, various activities were undertaken across Gujarat under the RAMP Micro-Incubation Project. 349 Entrepreneurship Awareness Camps (EACs) were organized, reaching out to 5,876 participants. The EACs were focused on creating awareness among entrepreneurs about the RAMP Project and the various benefits available under the programme and government schemes support. A major focus during the two months was on strengthening entrepreneurial competencies through structured training programmes. Under the project, 25 Capacity Building Workshops completed, thus benefiting 754 entrepreneurs. 17 Entrepreneurship Growth Programmes (EGPs) of three-day duration each, were organized, benefiting 592 entrepreneurs. The programmes strengthened entrepreneurial, managerial and business management skills among participants. In addition, eight one-day Theme-Based Capacity Building workshops conducted, benefiting 162 entrepreneurs. In addition, 125 Udyam Aadhar Registration, 27 PAN Card, 20 Artisan Card were facilitated during one day workshops.

For strengthening linkages among MSMEs and institutions, three Networking Events were organized under the project. 167 entrepreneurs and stakeholders from diverse sectors participated in the networking events. The events were designed to create awareness among entrepreneurs, support enterprise formalization, improve access to finance & government schemes and encourage business growth through networking and collaboration. Expert sessions covered important topics such as entrepreneurship development, industry collaboration, financial literacy, export opportunities, digital marketing, banking & credit support, GST compliance, trademark registration and MSME formalization. Additionally, 10 Geographical Indication (GI) crafts were identified and process for further support was initiated.
