National Training Programme on Entrepreneurship for Scientists and Technologists, supported by the Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India is especially designed by EDII aims at sensitizing scientists and technologists on the significance of commercializing technological solutions to create sustainable ventures, thus promoting inclusive growth. The success of the first programme in 2011, led to its replication year after year.

The 19th National Training Programme on Entrepreneurship: Innovation, Inclusion and Enterprise for Scientists and Technologists working with the Government sector was conducted during 8 to 12 December 2025. The programme focused on bridging the gap between technological solutions and enterprise creation. With the completion of the 19th programme, EDII has trained a cumulative 401 scientists and technologists through 19 national programmes for entrepreneurship education and training.

This five-day programme saw the participation of 18 scientists and technologists from eight states, including; Gujarat, Jharkhand, Kerala, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and West Bengal.

As tangible outcomes of the programme, the participants acknowledged having gained knowledge on technology-based entrepreneurship, developed collaborative linkages with national and international institutions in the sector and imbibed expertise of basic and applied research as well as real-world entrepreneurial experiences.
