EDII has consistently fostered a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship through its education, research, training, institution building and MSME growth. To carry forward its mission and promote entrepreneurship as a career choice, EDII launched the first-ever Udyamita Pakhwada 2025 (Entrepreneurship Fortnight 2025), a nationwide celebration of entrepreneurship and innovation from November 9 to 22, 2025. This event was deeply enriching for a diverse section of people, as they were exposed to the benefits of adopting entrepreneurship and discovered the ways and means of achieving success.

November 9, 2025: The National Entrepreneurship Day 2025 was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Leh, Ladakh in the presence of Hon’ble Lt. Governor of Ladakh, Shri Kavinder Gupta. Also present on the occasion were dignitaries: Shri Rudra Goud P.T, IAS, Administrative Secretary (Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry & Fisheries/Industries & Commerce including Mining & Geology/Power Development & New Renewable Energy), Administration of Union Territory of Ladakh and Ms. Bhanu Prabha, IAS, Administrative Secretary (Higher Education/School Education/Technical Education & Skill Development/Youth Services & Sports),

The National Entrepreneurship Day, also recorded the inauguration of Udyamita Pakhwada 2025, witnessed the release of the Enterprising Ladakh Report and a Catalogue of Enterprises. Inauguration of a Product Wall and exhibition showcasing over 80 local products and technologies developed by trained students under the project Enterprising Ladakh was also one of the main highlights.

Enterprising Ladakh is an initiative of the Department of Higher Education, Union Territory of Ladakh, being implemented by EDII. For the purpose, EDII established a dedicated office at the University of Ladakh and Kargil Leh Campus. This Centre serves as regional hub for entrepreneurial education, training and outreach. Till date, under the aegis of the Centre, over 1500 students from Ladakh have been oriented to enterprise development, setting up of MSMEs, banking, marketing and related areas.


Collaboration with the Government of Goa
November 12, 2025: The Institute collaborated with the Government of Goa to implement Mukhyamantri Swayam Rozgar Yojana (MSRY). The Mukhyamantri Swayam Rozgar Yojana (MSRY) is a flagship initiative of the Government of Goa, launched to promote self-employment, innovation and entrepreneurship across the State. Implemented by EDC Limited in collaboration with EDII – Goa Centre, under the overall supervision of the Directorate of Industries, Trade, and Commerce (DITC), the scheme aims to foster a vibrant and inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Hon’ble Chief Minister of Goa, Dr. Pramod Sawant, launched the document for the MSRY. Also present on the occasion were (R-L) Dr. Sunil Shukla, Director General, EDII; Mr. Asvin Chandru, IAS, Director, Directorate of Industries, Trade and Commerce (DITC), Govt. of Goa; Shri Santosh Sukhadeve, Secretary (Industries, Trade & Commerce), Govt, of Goa; Shri B. Internationally too, activities were undertaken as a part of Udyamita Pakhwada 2025
- Collaboration with Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) Malaysia
EDII collaborated with Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA), Govt. of Malaysia, to undertake initiatives to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Malaysia.

November 18, 2025: An MoU was signed between Dr. Sunil Shukla, Director General, EDII and Dato’ Zulfikri Bin Osman, Director General, Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA), in the presence of over 250 senior MARA officials, invited guests and dignitaries. Under the MoU, training & capacity building, collaborative research and other activities will be undertaken to promote entrepreneurship in Malaysia.

Dr. Sunil Shukla, Director General, EDII along with Mr. Ahmad Nazlee Idris Head of Marketing and Communications in Perbadanan Usahawan Nasional Berhad (PUNB) at a meeting to discuss future collaboration opportunities.
EDII has been meaningfully associated with the Development Division of Perbadanan Usahawan Nasional Berhad (PUNB), since the early 1999-2000. Reconnecting with PUNB is crucial in promoting and advancing entrepreneurship in Malaysia.
As a part of Udyamita Pakhwada 2025, under the collaboraon, EDII conducted two internaonal programmes for senior and junior officials of Akademi Kecemerlangan MARA (AKM), Malaysia. The Advanced Training of Trainers’ Programme for senior officials was conducted from November 16 to 20, 2025. 20 senior officials parcipated in the programme. The programme aimed to train senior officials for restructuring, redesigning and planning their entrepreneurship development strategy to achieve naonal goal of Malaysia ‘Vision 2030’. Another Training of Trainers’ Programme for Beginners was organized from 11th to 20th November 2025 with 30 officials parcipang from 13 states across Malaysia. The objecve of this training was to develop a professional cadre of trainers in the field of entrepreneurship.



Partnering with Jagriti Yatra 2025
As a part of the Udyamita Pakhwada 2025, EDII partnered with Jagri Yatra 2025, which commenced and concluded at the Instute. More than 2000 delegates comprising students, faculty and entrepreneurship enthusiasts came together and brainstormed over various aspects of entrepreneurship promoon and strengthening.
Partnering with Jagriti Yatra 2025 Shri Shashank Mani Tripathi, Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha and Founder-Jagri Yatra was the Chief Guest at the valedicon of the Jagri Yatra on EDII campus.

Culmination of Udyamita Pakhwada 2025 in association with the India Think Council


The Instute organized Culminaon of Udyamita Pakhwada 2025 and 5th Cultural Economy Conclave in the presence of (Centre) Chief Guest, Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampa, Hon’ble Governor of Odisha and (3rd from L) Guest of Honour, Shri Arjun Modhwadia, Hon’ble Minister, Forests and Environment, Climate Change, Science and Technology, Gujarat.

Gupta, Vice-Chancellor, Gujarat University; (2nd from R) Shri Uday Mahurkar, Noted Author & Former Central Informaon Commissioner, Govt. of India; Dr. Sunil Shukla, Director General, EDII; (1st from R) Shri Saurabh Pandey, Founding Director, India Think Council and Dr. Satya Ranjan Acharya, Professor & Director – Department of Entrepreneurship Educaon, EDII. During the event a Vision Document on Centre for Temple-Based Economy was also released by Hon’ble Governor of Odisha, Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampa. Entrepreneurship can be a force for transformaon, if the Government, Industry and Instuonal mechanism join hands and work in tandem.
