Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), Ahmedabad was set up in 1983, with the support of premier national financial institutions – the IDBI Bank Ltd; IFCI Ltd; ICICI ltd; SBI and the Govt. of Gujarat. EDII is Centre of Excellence, as recognised by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Govt. of India. This National Resource Institute has been working towards economic development of the nation by creating new entrepreneurs and building capacities of existing ones. The Institute has been bolstering the Government of India initiative of making India a progressive entrepreneurial nation by operating in line with schemes such as; Startup India; Standup India; Digital India, Make in India etc. EDII has worked actively towards inclusive growth by bringing the disadvantaged in the fold of entrepreneurship development, while at the same time handholding noted corporates in carrying out their CSR responsibilities.
