The Institute
EDII, an autonomous and not-for-profit organisation established in 1983, is promoted by apex financial institutions with support from the Government of Gujarat. It is recognised by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India, as Centre of Excellence in the skilling ecosystem.
The Institute is working with the Government of India, State Governments, Union Territory Administrations, Multinational Companies, Corporates, and Public Sector Enterprises to implement long-duration and integrated projects in the fields of Student Entrepreneurship, School Entrepreneurship, MSME Growth, Handicrafts and Handlooms, Livelihoods, Rural Entrepreneurship, Women Entrepreneurship, Technopreneurship, emerging technologies (including Artificial Intelligence and Green Technology), Circular Economy, Digital Marketing, etc. Selected candidates will be oriented to lead and implement ongoing and future projects across various locations.

Educational Qualifications
Postgraduate degree/MBA in Management, Rural Management, Economics, Commerce, Agriculture, Social Work, Behavioural Science, Social Sciences/Humanities, Technology (B.Tech./M.Tech./MCA), or any other relevant field from a recognised institution, preferably with a first-class academic record.
Work Experience and Other Requirements
While candidates possessing project management and consulting experience in Ministries, Government Departments, Multilateral Agencies and Global Consulting Firms would be preferred, they should
- have a proven track record, preferably of 10 to 15 years, in the fields of Entrepreneurship Development, Livelihoods, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), Cluster Development, Corporate Social Responsibility, Socio-economic Development Projects, Social Innovation, School Entrepreneurship, Technology Business Incubation, Government Development Projects and related fields with a passion for Entrepreneurship and MSME Development.
- be able to formulate, design, and prepare project proposals for Government, Corporates, and Multilateral Agencies. Experience in implementing such projects is mandatory.
- be able to liaise with Government agencies, Corporates and other key stakeholders.
- have prior exposure to dealing with decision-makers and should be inclined towards business development and project implementation.
- be system-oriented and a team player.
- possess an understanding of how to lead and conduct applied research and policy research.
Terms of Engagement
Contractual engagement initially for a period of two years, which may be extended further or regularised at the appropriate level (7th CPC) based on qualifications, performance and organisational requirements.
Location
Initially at the Head Office, Ahmedabad, or at other Regional Offices. Candidates should be willing to be transferred anywhere in India as per the Institute’s requirements.
Remuneration
Emoluments will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
