Post – EDP/PGDM Work and Equity

There are disadvantaged groups of entrepreneurs – women, scheduled caste, scheduled tribes, disableds and minorities – who sometimes, experience unfair treatment from regulatory/promotional agencies and other stakeholders. How does one prevent such treatment and mitigate its consequences? What are the education/remedial measures required in this regard. EDII will undertake specific post-EDP work to judge the incidence of inequity and the way to promote equity.

DEI Programmes for Ecosystem Members

The ecosystem consists of officials from regulatory and promotional agencies, credit institutions, technical support agencies, training organisations. The Institute, after building its track – record, will offer a DEI programme to the ecosystem members.

DEI and MSME Policy

There are policies pertaining to priority groups and regions, which give them an advantage in terms of subsidies for new/expansion projects, interest rates, procurement by government organisations, credit, etc. The Institute will take an across-the-scheme examination of policies in order to suggest a more effective policy set addressing DEI priorities.

Work among Startups

Startups are dependent on contemporary and/or foreign forms of funding. The funds as also the promoters of some startups are conscious of the need for building sufficient DEI into startups. The Centre shall undertake study among selected startups to assess their DEI level and recommend actions for improvement.

Research Publications

The work under the aegis of this Centre, will generate knowledge, understanding and insights into DEI level in entrepreneurship development space in India. Based on this, the Institute intends to publish some papers mainly for the benefit of entrepreneurs, ecosystem, startups, funding organisations and policy makers.
