Women from the rural locales are generally well trained in local crafts and skills but they lag behind on account of lack of access to resources and overall knowledge to employ their skills effectively to earn a sustainable livelihood. Supported by Tata Power Community Development Trust, EDII is implementing a focused livelihood and entrepreneurship promotion initiative across six villages of Bhivpuri Block—Karalewadi, Bhivpuri, Mandavane, Vaijanath, Potal, and Humgaon. The project commenced on March, 2024 with the aim of transforming the socio-economic landscape by developing entrepreneurship as a viable and sustainable livelihood option for Self-Help Group (SHG) members and women from tribal and agrarian communities.
