This 5-year programme supported by National Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB), Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India aims to promote entrepreneurship among youths with science & technology background.  EDII has been roped in as the nodal partner for implementation.

New Generation Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centres (NewGen IEDC) aim to inculcate the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship among young Science & Technology (S&T) students, encourage and support start-up creation through guidance, mentorship & support.

NewGen IEDCs are established in academic institutions where students are encouraged to take up innovative projects that possess the possibility of commercialization.
