EDII implemented Project Sashakt in September 2024 with the support of Shriram Pistons and Rings Ltd. to train 50 women from Ghaziabad in entrepreneurship and skill development through Micro Skillpreneurship Development Programmes (MSDPs). The one year project aims to foster women’s self-reliance by equipping them with entrepreneurial and managerial skills, enabling them to start and sustain income-generating activities.
Highlights
30 women completed a 16-day MSDP in various trades.
A group enterprise was formed to formalize operations, with members completing Udyam registration, PAN issuance, and bank account opening.
The enterprise has commenced manufacturing and sales, supported by mentoring in product development and compliance.
Conducted awareness and mobilization drives in Muradnagar and Ghaziabad, ensuring strong community participation.
Impact
The programme has initiated a shift from informal livelihoods to structured enterprises, ensuring women gain access to institutional credit and markets.
Collective enterprise formation has created a sustainable support ecosystem, encouraging collaborative growth among women entrepreneurs.
