Athak Bharat Project, supported by Oil and Natural Gas Corporation and implemented by EDII, is focused on improving agriculture-based livelihoods, skill development of youths and artisans, protecting the rights of the migrant laborers and providing sustainable livelihoods to tribal communities of Dang District in Gujarat. The three-year project, which commenced in July 2022, entails formation of SHGs and institution building, capacity building, formation of producers’ organization and transforming producer organizations into self-sustaining organizations.
305 members were trained in 07 training programmes, focused on 5 trades.
20 enterprises were set up in agripreneurship, handicraft, NTFP, ecotourism, and medicinal plants.
The project is supporting sustainable practices that benefit both the environment and local economies.
18 SHGs and local organizations got notably strengthened to become self-sustaining and resilient.
MSME registrations were procured for 20 enterprises.
Artisan cards have been procured for 20 beneficiaries.
Earning/enterprise has been to the tune of Rs.18,000 per month.
Products are being promoted through digital platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
