About the Project

EDII has signed an MOU with the Commissionerate of Higher Education (CHE), Government of Gujarat for the implementation of the Student Entrepreneurship Policy (SEP) in Gujarat State. The project envisions capacity-building of faculty members as Nodal Officers from various technical and higher education institutions across Gujarat. Further, the project also envisions training students from these institutions for the Entrepreneurship Development Training Programs (EDTP).

About the Students’ Entrepreneurship Policy

The unique of its kind, Gujarat State Students’ Entrepreneurship Policy (SEP) aims to foster entrepreneurship, business acumen, creative ideas, fresh insights, aspirations, and the identification of business opportunities among students in various higher education institutions across the state.

The policy envisions creating an integrated, state-wide, university-based innovation ecosystem to support the innovations and ideas of young students and provide a conducive environment for optimum harnessing of their creative pursuits.

The students from higher educational institutions from government and private institutions of the state will benefit by way of strengthening their capacities through entrepreneurship education, training, and financial assistance. It will further nurture, mentor, and develop the business ideas and ideas of students as well as create new legally recognized businesses in the state.
