TATA Power- Project Aarohan

EDII is implementing Project AAROHAN (meaning ‘Ascent’), to empower the farmers, fisherfolk, and artisans through decent work and productive employment, thereby upholding the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan. The project would enhance the livelihood of farming, fisherfolk, and artisan communities of Gujarat, through poverty reduction, promoting and ensuring inclusive andsustainable economic growth, and capacity building for existing Fisher community-led enterprises at Mundra.

EDII joined hands with TATA Communications Ltd. in ‘Project Udaya’ to promote entrepreneurship among women from SC/ST, weaker sections and SHG members for sustainable income generation through enterprise creation.

Entrepreneurship Development Programme for SC/ST in Pune District (2015-19)

Sponsored by TATA Communication Ltd. Pune, the programme ‘Promoting Entrepreneurship amongst Individuals and Self-Help Groups from Affirmative Action Communities in Pune District’ aimed at developing entrepreneurial capacity and business competence among SC/ST, people from weaker sections and SHG members, for sustainable income through enterprise creation in communication. The 54-month project began in December 2015.

Skills to Succeed 2020 Goals

EDII has joined hands with Accenture in their ‘Skills to Succeed’ project which intends to develop micro entrepreneurs from among the marginalized and backward communities.

Start-Up Village

HandMade in India

The project which commenced in 2019 would be implemented over 3 years. ‘Handmade in India’ is a 3-year project focused at evolving an entrepreneurial ecosystem around 6 selected handloom clusters spread across five states – Assam, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha & Tamil Nadu (Kamrup, Surendranagar, Bhuj, Maheshwar, Bargarh, Salem handloom clusters in India). EDII is anchoring the project in consultation with Ernst & Young (Knowledge partner), and with support from HSBC.

World on Wheels (WOW)’ Project of Hewlett Packard

As part of the MoU signed with Hewlett Packard (HP), EDII and HP are creating digital literacy among the rural population under the project ‘World on Wheels’. The project focuses on building and deploying internet-enabled digital inclusion and learning labs to facilitate digital literacy, education programming, entrepreneurship training, and other community services in rural India. Mobile computer labs (big multi axle buses with computer lab set up) have been equipped with necessary paraphernalia. During its stay at the designated villages, the bus extends its services for 10 hours, of which 4 hours is devoted to school children, 3 hours to youth, 1 hour for dispensing common services like Aadhaar, MeeSeva services etc, and 2 hours for creating awareness on government schemes and various development themes.

The primary goal is to promote energy efficiency and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) measures in MSME clusters, leading to enhanced competitiveness of MSMEs and improved environmental and social performance.

EDII was engaged by Walmart to impart training to women entrepreneurs under its ‘Women Entrepreneurship Development Programme (WEDP 3.0)’. The WEDP aimed at building capacity of Women-Owned Businesses (WOBs) across India by imparting professional and life skills to build robust and sustainable businesses.

Implementing Skill and Entrepreneurship Development Interventions at Karnali under Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana ​

In this 3-year project which began in 2015, EDII has empowered, educated and engaged women and youth of Karnali by providing them entrepreneurial skills and capacity building training in various trades. Interventions also included financial handholding support to the participants to start a micro venture. Participants were given hands-on-training to manufacture different types of products including coloured candles, face cream, and snacks and sweets, and were also given training in digital literacy. Several beneficiaries have set up micro ventures and are scaling up in terms of production capacity.

Boost your Business

Boost your Business’ programme with Facebook (2017-18)

EDII collaborated with Facebook to implement its National Project – ‘Boost Your Business’. Conducted in 15 states, the programme focused on training entrepreneurs from small and medium businesses with the requisite knowledge, skills, and technology to facilitate growth of their businesses online. They were equipped with skills to use Intensive and interactive flash workshops were conducted to orient micro/small enterprises/shopkeepers/traders with various aspects of using Facebook to ‘Boost Your Business’.

Project UNNATI

EDII has joined hands with the Bayer Foundation to implement Project UNNATI in Malegaon district.
The Project is being implemented in three phases, comprising; Vision Building & Leadership Training (VBLT) for empowering 100 SHG Heads/Leaders; Micro Skillpreneurship Development Training (MSDP) to impart training in Entrepreneurship and a selected Skill to 600 women members belonging to SHGs and Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) to train and handhold 50 independent women wishing to start their own business.

Project UDAYMEE

EDII in association with Aditya Birla Group’s Utkal Alumina International Ltd (UAIL) has launched the project ‘UDAYMEE’. The three-year project initiated in 2021 aims to foster non-farm and agri-allied entrepreneurship among youngsters from Rayagada’s Kashipur Block and Kalahandi’s Thuamul Rampur Block.
