National Summer Camps for Children & Youth

EDII has been dedicated to nurturing entrepreneurial spirit among children and youth through the National Summer Camps. These camps have successfully equipped participants with the fundamental skills necessary for becoming achievers and entrepreneurs. The camps offer a unique blend of experiential learning and hands-on activities, helping children and youth unfold their potential and develop essential life skills.

 

National Summer Camps on Entrepreneurial Stimulation for Children for age group 12-16 years

Over the past 30 years, the institute has provided a powerful platform for children across the nation through its Summer Camp on Entrepreneurship. This initiative introduces young participants to winning trades and essential competencies.

Objective:

The objective of the camp is to inculcate the 'Spirit of Enterprise and Achievement' in children so that they target higher –order achievements.

Highlights of the Camp:

  • Children aged 12 to 16 years are eligible. The number of participants is limited to 90. Adequate arrangements will be made for girls, including the appointment of a lady caretaker.
  • Since the focus is on activities, there is no language barrier. However, participants are expected to communicate in English, Hindi, or Gujarati.
  • The camp will include a variety of engaging activities such as:
    • Mental gyms
    • Motivation and creativity exercises
    • Puzzles
    • Value education
    • Presentations
    • Learning through success stories
    • Industry visits
    • Yoga

 

  • The entire group will be divided into two sub-groups:
    • Group A: Ages 12 to 14
    • Group B: Ages 14 to 16
  • A parents' meeting will be organized to brief them on their child's performance and potential.
  • Formal and informal interactions with well-known entrepreneurs and achievers from various fields will be arranged to motivate the children to aim for significant successes in life.

 

National Summer Camp on Entrepreneurial Adventures for Youth for Age Group 16-22 years

EDII provides youth a platform to cultivate their latent potential and develop a winning personality. For over 30 years, EDII has been nurturing unique competencies among youth through its National Summer Camp on Entrepreneurial Adventures for Youth.

Objective:

To help youths realize their hidden potential and develop their capabilities to meet future challenges by acquiring essential entrepreneurial traits, including risk-taking, creative thinking, conflict management, effective communication, teamwork, and emotional management.

Activities:

  • Development games and exercises to foster traits such as creativity, concern for excellence, leadership, problem-solving, independence, and goal-setting.
  • Formal and informal interactions with successful achievers and entrepreneurs.
  • Assessment and development of entrepreneurial traits and competencies.
  • Visits to reputable institutions to analyze the processes of creation and development.
  • Self-assessment through specifically designed psychological tests and instruments, along with learning through self-observation in varied situations.
  • Career and psychological counseling.
Nurturing Entrepreneurship Traits Among School Covered Under the ‘PM Shri Scheme’

The institute organized specialized programmes on "Entrepreneurship and Innovation" for students of Higher Secondary levels to orient young minds towards entrepreneurship as a discipline and develop in them the traits of becoming a successful entrepreneur. Aligned with the National Education Policy 2020, the Government has identified P M Shri Schools, emphasizing on the development of life skills as well as entrepreneurial skills in order to prepare students for opportunities ahead. EDII has designed a special programme tailored for these young minds.

Students received training in leadership, creativity, team building, inventiveness, problem-solving, effective communication, and other essential qualities. These skills are designed to enhance their abilities to perceive, evaluate, reason, and make informed decisions. The entire programme was structured around activity-based learning to ensure practical engagement and effectiveness.

Orientation visit of students

The Institute encourages visits of students to its campus for getting sensitised towards entrepreneurship. The idea is to generate an interest in them about the discipline so that they explore it and pursue it as a career. It is a communication opportunity for Institute to make students familiar towards the entrepreneurship. The programme delivers high value through a blend of intensive and immersive campus visit and classroom interaction.
