Japanese Professor Toshio Goto Sharing Insights on the Dynamics of Family Businesses

May 12, 2026: A special session on Family Business was organized at EDII for the faculty members. The session was conducted by Prof. Toshio Goto, Research Professor, Graduate School, Japan University of Economics, Tokyo and Chairperson, Research Institute for the Centennial Management, Executive Director, Japanese Civilization Institute. The session aimed to provide insights into the longevity, sustainability and success of Japanese family businesses and their relevance in the contemporary business environment. The session was followed by an insightful address on Family Business by Dr. Hitesh Shukla, Professor, Saurashtra University, Rajkot, who highlighted various dimensions and challenges associated with family-run enterprises in India.
