Ms. Nikita Maheshwari
CEO and Co-Founder
Tatkalorry Private Limited
PGDM, 2017
Nikita Maheshwari is a seasoned entrepreneur with over a decade of experience, driven by a strong belief in the potential of India’s entrepreneurship ecosystem. Deeply inspired by the vision of Make in India, Nikita floated her first entrepreneurial venture, Tilebazzar, aimed at taking a small town of Morbi global with its Ceramic Tiles and Sanitary Potential.
She got into the nitty-gritty of setting up her venture, only to spot another opportunity which emerged from the glaring gap that she spotted in the logistics and supply chain management system. Tatkalorry was born out of Nikita’s experience and realisation that a genuine problem that entrepreneurs faced was not just developing products, but also logistics and supply chain management.
Tatkalorry Private Limited, is a logistics and supply chain management company especially catering to the ceramics and construction material industry. Tatkalorry addresses the needs of a largely unorganized sector by providing reliable first-mile and last-mile transportation solutions, especially for small-load movements. Under Nikita’s leadership, Tatkalorry has successfully completed more than 1,00,000 inter-city and intra-city deliveries. Nikita has expanded the company’s footprints to more than 80 cities and today, serves 100 national and local brands.
Nikita’s work has earned several prestigious accolades, including the National Entrepreneurship Award 2019 and the Student Startup Prashansha Award 2019. Tatkalorry was also named among the Top 3 finalists at the LEAPS 2024 Awards, organized by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT). In September 2025, Nikita was invited to deliver a TEDx talk on ‘The Power of Being Boring’.
As one of the most recognized startups of Gujarat, Nikita met Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi in September 2022 to discuss Tatkalorry’s potential and future growth. Nikita credits EDII for her entrepreneurial vision that enabled her to spot opportunities in crisis. “Learning in the unique ecosystem of EDII, naturally infused winning competencies in me. I find myself effortlessly responding to situations as an able entrepreneur,” says Nikita. Beyond business, Nikita actively contributed during the COVID-19 pandemic through Sahaay, a youth-led relief initiative in Gujarat.
Nikita Maheshwari’s journey reflects purpose-driven entrepreneurship. She continues to work towards transforming the logistics landscape from the ground up.
