Significant Scholarly Contribution by ITEC Alumnus

Mr. Carlos Miguel Ozorio Gonzalez, participant of the ITEC, Ministry of External Affairs supported programme on Entrepreneurial Management (Spanish Language) (March 12 – 25, 2025), published a research paper on the finer aspects of the course.

The paper analyzes business management training as a tool for international cooperation and sustainable development, focusing on the ‘Business Management in Spanish’ course offered by the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), part of the ITEC programme. It argues that this Indian initiative exemplifies South-South cooperation by transferring skills and promoting multicultural integration. EDII, a key player in the third largest global entrepreneurial ecosystem (with more than 117,000 startups in India), offers a programme focused on digital marketing and women’s empowerment.

The diversity of Spanish-speaking participants enriches the learning process, fostering leadership and innovation. The essay highlights the professional impact and concrete actions of graduates, as well as India’s progress in supporting women entrepreneurs. Finally, it proposes five public policies for Paraguay inspired by the Indian model, such as seed funds and microcredits for women, seeking to boost the local entrepreneurial ecosystem. It concludes that multilingual and inclusive business training, such as that offered by EDII, is crucial for social and economic transformation.
