Start-up Village Entrepreneurship Programme (SVEP) equips rural communities with the tools and training required to start sustainable enterprises. Start-up Village Entrepreneurship Programme (SVEP) is a sub-scheme of the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM) and aims to help members of Self Help Groups (SHGs) set up small enterprises in the non-farm sector. EDII, as the National Resource Organisation (NRO) promotes entrepreneurship in 82 blocks of 15 states.

Over December and January, significant skill building and capacity building activities were undertaken in several states. 131 Entrepreneurship Development Programmes (EDPs) were conducted, benefitting 3945 participants. Another 14 training programmes were conducted to impart mentorship and guidance to 343 Community Resource Persons-Enterprise Promotion (CRP-EP). Furthermore, 83 Community-Based Organization (CBO) Training sessions were conducted, equipping 2534 participants with knowledge on varied concepts of entrepreneurship.
In Himachal Pradesh, an interactive session on quality control, packaging, branding and marketing was organised with noted resource persons, including Shri Suresh Verma, Deputy General Manager, Himachal Pradesh Horticulture Produce Marketing & Processing Corporation Ltd (HPMC); Dr. Prabal Chaudhary, Senior Marketing Officer, Directorate of Horticulture,Shri Ankit Kotia, Block Development Officer, Mashobra block and Himachal Pradesh State Rural Livelihoods Mission (HPSRLM) leadership.
