Position: CENTRE MANAGER CUM TRAINER MOTIVATOR – 01
Location: Assam
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct and guide participants on hands-on and classroom training on banana fibre extraction, enhancement, dyeing., Yarn processing.
- Train participants in designing and developing products using banana fibre.
- Conduct trainings on value-added products of banana fibre (handloom e.g., yarn preparation, weaving, blending, finishing, and handicraft.)
- Develop and deliver structured training sessions to the participants
- Assess trainee progress and provide continuous mentoring and technical support.
- Guide trainees in developing market-ready products such as textiles, home furnishings, accessories, handicrafts, and eco-friendly products using banana fibre.
- Support design improvement, quality control, and standardization of products.
- Assist in prototyping new products based on market trends and project objectives.
- Ensure efficient use of raw materials and adherence to sustainable production practices.
- Lead mobilization of beneficiaries (artisans, SHG members, farmers, and youth) for training programs.
- Coordinate with local institutions, NGOs, cooperatives, and community leaders to ensure participation.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience as Master Trainer on handicraft and/ or handloom
- Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience working with banana fibre and its applications.
- Proven experience in training artisans or community groups in handloom weaving and product development.
- Experience in community mobilization, skill development programs, or livelihood projects.
- Prior experience working with NGOs, government programs, or CSR projects is desirable.
- Having ToT certification from reputed institute/ government organizations/ departments
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong technical knowledge of banana fibre processing and handloom production techniques.
- Training and facilitation skills with the ability to engage diverse groups.
- Product design and development capability with a market-oriented approach.
- Community mobilization and communication skills.
Other Requirements
- Willingness to travel extensively to rural/field locations.
- Ability to work flexible hours based on training schedules.
- Strong commitment to sustainable livelihoods and community development.
Type of Employment: On Contractual basis for 11 months.
Remuneration and Compensation:
INR 40,000 per month (inclusive of TA)
