Boost your Business’ Programme with Facebook (2017-18)
Handholding new as well as existing entrepreneurs for utilizing Facebook’s business page for promoting their enterprises,
EDII collaborated with Facebook to implement its National Project – ‘Boost Your Business’ in India in 2017-18 which paved way for EDII to impart the necessary skills for an Entrepreneur to thrive in today’s digital world. With more than 20000 beneficiaries across 15 states, the programme focused on training entrepreneurs running small and medium businesses, from both urban and rural sectors, with the requisite knowledge, skills, and technical expertise to promote the growth of their businesses online, thereby facilitating economic growth and digital inclusion for all. The Boost Your Business program comprised of both half-day and 2-hour pop-up events, each focused on bringing small businesses together to share best practices and hear about the latest marketing strategies and tools used in facebook family of apps. The program focused on tools that allow small businesses to reach to new as well as current customers more effectively through FB pages both organically as well as through advertisements.

Project Highlights :
- Trained 20,200 small business Entrepreneurs through 200 BYB programmes conducted Pan India
- BYB programs created economic as well as social impact for the participants and their businesses.
- Boost in sales, referrals, and increased savings in advertising and marketing costs for the entrepreneurs and other business owners post training

Project Udaya
EDII joined hands with TATA Communications Ltd. in ‘Project Udaya’ to promote entrepreneurship among women from SC/ST, weaker sections and SHG members for sustainable income generation through enterprise creation.
Entrepreneurship Development Programme for SC/ST in Pune District (2015-19)
Sponsored by TATA Communication Ltd. Pune, the programme ‘Promoting Entrepreneurship amongst Individuals and Self-Help Groups from Affirmative Action Communities in Pune District’ aimed at developing entrepreneurial capacity and business competence among SC/ST, people from weaker sections and SHG members, for sustainable income through enterprise creation in communication. The 54-month project began in December 2015.
Skills to Succeed 2020 Goals
EDII has joined hands with Accenture in their ‘Skills to Succeed’ project which intends to develop micro entrepreneurs from among the marginalized and backward communities.
HandMade in India
The project which commenced in 2019 would be implemented over 3 years. ‘Handmade in India’ is a 3-year project focused at evolving an entrepreneurial ecosystem around 6 selected handloom clusters spread across five states – Assam, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha & Tamil Nadu (Kamrup, Surendranagar, Bhuj, Maheshwar, Bargarh, Salem handloom clusters in India). EDII is anchoring the project in consultation with Ernst & Young (Knowledge partner), and with support from HSBC.
World on Wheels (WOW)’ Project of Hewlett Packard
As part of the MoU signed with Hewlett Packard (HP), EDII and HP are creating digital literacy among the rural population under the project ‘World on Wheels’. The project focuses on building and deploying internet-enabled digital inclusion and learning labs to facilitate digital literacy, education programming, entrepreneurship training, and other community services in rural India. Mobile computer labs (big multi axle buses with computer lab set up) have been equipped with necessary paraphernalia. During its stay at the designated villages, the bus extends its services for 10 hours, of which 4 hours is devoted to school children, 3 hours to youth, 1 hour for dispensing common services like Aadhaar, MeeSeva services etc, and 2 hours for creating awareness on government schemes and various development themes.
Say YES to Sustainable MSMEs in India
EDII has been roped in by YES Bank to implement its CSR project ‘Say YES to Sustainable MSMEs in India’. The primary goal is to promote energy efficiency and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) measures in MSME clusters, leading to enhanced competitiveness of MSMEs and improved environmental and social performance.

WeACT is a collaboration of Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India and Accenture Pvt. Ltd.
Women Entrepreneurship Development Programme’ of Walmart
EDII was engaged by Walmart to impart training to women entrepreneurs under its ‘Women Entrepreneurship Development Programme (WEDP 3.0)’. The WEDP aimed at building capacity of Women-Owned Businesses (WOBs) across India by imparting professional and life skills to build robust and sustainable businesses.
SATTVA – Women Skillpreneurship Development Program (WSDP)
EDII is partnering with HCL Foundation to train urban poor women from Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Madurai, as part of their Urban CSR programme ‘HCL Uday’ under the thematic pillar – ‘Strengthening Women Collectives’.
Implementing Skill and Entrepreneurship Development Interventions at Karnali under Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana
In this 3-year project which began in 2015, EDII has empowered, educated and engaged women and youth of Karnali by providing them entrepreneurial skills and capacity building training in various trades. Interventions also included financial handholding support to the participants to start a micro venture. Participants were given hands-on-training to manufacture different types of products including coloured candles, face cream, and snacks and sweets, and were also given training in digital literacy. Several beneficiaries have set up micro ventures and are scaling up in terms of production capacity.
Initiative to improve India’s Agricultural Landscape Through Women Agriculturists – Agro Management Programme (AMP)
As a part of CSR interventions of ITC (Mission Sunehra Kal), EDII conducted ‘Skill Development Programme for Women Agriculturists in Shirur district, Pune.
Boost your Business’ programme with Facebook (2017-18)
EDII collaborated with Facebook to implement its National Project – ‘Boost Your Business’. Conducted in 15 states, the programme focused on training entrepreneurs from small and medium businesses with the requisite knowledge, skills, and technology to facilitate growth of their businesses online. They were equipped with skills to use Intensive and interactive flash workshops were conducted to orient micro/small enterprises/shopkeepers/traders with various aspects of using Facebook to ‘Boost Your Business’.
Project UNNATI
EDII has joined hands with the Bayer Foundation to implement Project UNNATI in Malegaon district.
The Project is being implemented in three phases, comprising; Vision Building & Leadership Training (VBLT) for empowering 100 SHG Heads/Leaders; Micro Skillpreneurship Development Training (MSDP) to impart training in Entrepreneurship and a selected Skill to 600 women members belonging to SHGs and Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) to train and handhold 50 independent women wishing to start their own business.
Project UDAYMEE
EDII in association with Aditya Birla Group’s Utkal Alumina International Ltd (UAIL) has launched the project ‘UDAYMEE’. The three-year project initiated in 2021 aims to foster non-farm and agri-allied entrepreneurship among youngsters from Rayagada’s Kashipur Block and Kalahandi’s Thuamul Rampur Block.
Hindustan Aeronautics ltd (HAL)
Hindustan Aeronautical Ltd. and EDII have entered into an MOU for promotion of enterprises through awareness creation, skill and entrepreneurship development, among 1000 youth and women in the Kolar/ chikkabalapur/ Nelamangala ( Bangalore Rural) areas.
ONGC
Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC), has entered into an MOU with EDII for promoting self–sustainable organizations for the tribal Community in the Dang District of Gujarat. The 3 years project will conclude in 2025.
Udyogini Project
EDII in association with Vedanta Alumina Ltd, initiated a three-year project from August, 2022. The project will be implemented in 72 Villages of Jharsuguda District . Training, capacity building and support will be extended to 10000 members of existing Vedanta supported M/S Subhalaxmi Cooperative Ltd
NTPC
EDII with the support of NTPC will facilitate New Enterprise Creation among the under privileged women in the vicinity of NTPC Noida. EDII will ensure setting up of a Cold Compressed Oil Unit for the benefit of the under-privileged women.
State Bank of India Foundation (SBIF)
EDII has partnered with the State Bank of India Foundation (SBIF) for the skill development and training of 750 persons with disabilities (PwDs) under SBI’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project – Swavlamban.
Xiaomi India
EDII has been partnered with Xiaomi India to launch Skillpreneurship Learning Centres for Youth Empowerment for implementing Project SPARK.
Reliance Foundation- Training of trainers on Micro Enterprise Development Programme
EDII is engaged with Reliance Foundation to train Development Professionals of the Foundation, working in the domain of Non-Farm livelihoods.
Adani Enterprises Ltd. (Mining Division) – Training Programme for Microenterprise Facilitators on Enterprise Promotion and Handholding Women Entrepreneurs
EDII is associated with Adani Enterprises Ltd. to train Field officers of Adani Group engaged in microenterprise promotion in rural areas.
TATA Power- Project Aarohan
EDII is implementing Project AAROHAN (meaning ‘Ascent’), to empower the farmers, fisherfolk, and artisans through decent work and productive employment, thereby upholding the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan.
Kone Elevators and Escalators- Project AASHRAY
The EDII project team initiated the project AASHRAY in Maharashtra’s Pune and Nashik districts.
IFCI Limited – Project PRERNA: Promoting Entrepreneurship by Rejuvenating and Nurturing Aspirations
EDII with IFCI Limited will help in creating entrepreneurship awareness among students of selected schools of western Uttar Pradesh.
ICICI Foundation- Economic Empowerment of Languishing Craft Artisans
ICICI Foundation and EDII have collaborated to identify Ahmedabad-based artisans of the languishing craft, ‘Mata ni Pachhedi’ and intervene through various hard interventions so as to make around 80 selected artisans, sustainable.
IDBI Bank Ltd.: Project Revitalising Innovation for Sustainable Enterprises (RISE)
EDII collaborated with IDBI Bank Ltd. to initiate the project ‘Revitalising Innovation for Sustainable Enterprises (RISE)’.
Standard Chartered: Project Sankalp
Project Sankalp focusses on building strengths and capabilities of rural women in selected 8 locations of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu states through Skill-based Entrepreneurship Development Programmes.
Swavalambane Project
EDII has presently been implementing the Swavalambane project, which is an initiative by NSRCEL, the business incubator at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB), and Sanjeevini –Karnataka State Rural Livelihood Promotion Society (KSRLPS), supported by the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM).
