Akash Purkait had always wanted to become an entrepreneur. When he heard about EDII, its Summer Camps and other courses, he decided to first join the Summer Camp and experience learning at this citadel of entrepreneurship. He completed Summer Camp and was enthused about strengthening his entrepreneurial capabilities.
He is managing his family business, M/s. Proniak Forge and Flanges, and they are trying to expand and diversify with a five year growth plan in perspective, for which he thanks EDII profusely. They are exporters of forged flanges, pipe fittings and automotive components. They have won awards for export excellence and quality. There had been a downturn during the COVID times, but EDII’s learning saw them through, as they tried to cultivate an eye for opportunities and look beyond the obvious.
Thanks to mentorship from EDII, he wasn’t just trained to reach the heights of success but was also given sound learning on what to expect while treading uncharted and hostile waters. He feels lucky that he had the confidence and skill set to try his hands at multiple ventures across a few industries, over the years. These range from forming a music record label to a clothing brand. He has been my best critic and competitor. He credit EDII for giving him the insight to validate himself.
