Students must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks ( 45% in case of the students belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) or Persons with Disability (PWD) category of any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956 or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India The Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the candidate must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent. Students appearing for the final degree examination at the time of application can also apply. Such candidates must produce a certificate from the Principal/Head of the Department/Registrar/Director of the University/institution certifying that the candidate is currently in the final year/ is awaiting final results and has obtained at lest 50% marks or equivalent base on latest available grades/marks.
Students opting for the admission in the EDI’s PGP have to obtain CAT, MAT or XAT bulletin. CAT bulletin is available on sale ( Rs. 1300/- for general category and Rs. 650/- for SC/ST candidates) from various branches of Axis Banks or at any IIM.
Students applying through MAT have to buy MAT bulletin by paying Rs. 750/- in cash from a select AIMA Study Centres, identified Bank of Baroda branches spread all over the country or by sending a demand draft of Rs. 790/- drawn in favour of All India Management Association, payable at New Delhi.
Students interested in XAT have to obtain XLRI bulletin. An advertisement in this regards will be published in August, 2008. Students may refer XLRI websites www.xlri.ac.in and www.xlri.edu for knowing procedures and formalities for applying for XAT examination.
Students, opting for EDI-PGP through CAT, MAT or XAT have to apply to EDI also by acquiring a Prospectus-cum-Application Form. Students may obtain this by paying Rs. 750/- in cash or sending a Demand Draft, drawn in favour of Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, payable at Ahmedabad, from EDI Head/Branch or Project Offices.
In addition to CAT, MAT and XAT examination, students have to undergo Entrepreneurship Aptitude Test (EAT), as this is a specialized stream. The test is designed to analyze behavioural predispositions befitting entrepreneurial career.
Students will be short listed for the personal interview on the basis of CAT & MAT scores. However, such candidates have to appear for EAT. Institute reserves the right to select candidates on the basis of its own written test and personal interview.
